Department Assistant - Telecom
Some of the primary job responsibilities include:
- Contacting phone companies via phone, fax and/or email to implement orders to remove or change services
- Follow-up on orders to ensure they have completed to verify changes
- Order Customer Service Records or copies of bills where necessary to verify changes
- Assisting Analysts in the preparation and mailing of reports of refunds and savings for clients
- Assisting Analysts in the creation of invoices to clients for fees earned
- Assisting Analysts in researching phone company tariffs
- Assisting Analysts with data entry of Customer Service Record information into Excel spreadsheets
- Assist Analysts with collection of data in preparation for analysis by Analysts
- Assist Analysts with verification of client telephone lines and other services
We look for people that have the right attitude and a willingness to learn the technical aspects of the position. The right person should have the following qualities:
- High energy levels and strong work ethic
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally (especially over the phone) and in the written form, with all levels from clerical staff to upper management
- Must have excellent organizational skills and firm ability to manage multiple projects/tasks at the same time
- Basic keyboard and computer skills combined with intermediate knowledge of MS-Office (Excel, Word & Outlook)
- Detail-orientated and accurate, but still able to understand the big picture
We prefer a minimum of two years higher education, but a degree is not required. Telecom knowledge is a plus, but is not required.
